August 25, 2007: Holly & Matt

Holly was so much fun to work with! She had a definite vision for what she wanted the day to look & feel like! Her theme was whimsical! She wanted to use very simple, natural, light arrangments throught the event. Something very unexpected & refreshing! We used peonies, cymbidium orchids, Anna roses, & lisianthus (to name a few) in shades of pale pink to create her arrangements for the day. We wanted all of the flowers to be airy & have movement, not to be packed tight with a really formal look or feel. The main arrangment of the day was the "Dedication Tree." This is a concept that the bride came up with & I brought it to life! We composed a tree out of dried branches & adorned it with crystals, ribbon, & orchid blooms. We then hung pictures of the bride & groom's parents & grandparents on their wedding days. The bride made a plaque to attach to the front of the vase that said: "In dedication to our parents & grandparents for all their love; in remembrance to those who are no longer with us to celebrate this day." It was really amazing! The ceremony & reception were held at Longview Mansion.

Hi Michelle!!
I looked at the blog and how cool! Thanks so much for all of your help, you were so fun and had such good ideas and really made my vision come to life. People commented all night about how pretty all of the arrangements were. It was better than I expected, but all I had hoped. Thanks for making the peony bouquet happen. And the dedication tree!! Wow!

Again, thanks so much for making our day beautiful and for being so fun and creative.

Warm regards,
Holly
